The "Give Them a Chance, They Can" campaign, led by the Future for Marginalised Community Organisation (FUMACO), is dedicated to addressing the pressing challenges faced by adolescent girls and young women in Mwanza City, Tanzania. This campaign focuses on:
- Combating Early Pregnancy: ensuring educational continuity, providing healthcare, and offering support to help girls remain in school, reduce health risks, and rebuild their confidence.
- Preventing Sexual and Domestic Violence: offering counselling, legal assistance, and community education to protect young women and create a safer environment.
- Promoting Mental Health and Well-being: providing mental health support and fostering resilience to help young women overcome trauma and build brighter futures.
By engaging with the local community and addressing these critical issues, FUMACO aims to empower young women in Mwanza to overcome challenges, break cycles of violence and poverty, and create lasting positive change in their lives.
