Established in 2017, the Child Marriage and Youth Empowerment Group, Innovations for Youth (i4Y), University of California, Berkeley aims to advance the knowledge base to gain a broader and deeper understanding of child marriage and the complex set of social factors that shape adolescence. Operating in the USA, as well as several countries in Latin America and Africa, they use innovative, rigorous, and interdisciplinary research and evaluation design, and contribute to cross-sectoral programmes and policies that are based on evidence from this research.
