Established in 1993, Bangladesh Legal Aid and Services Trust (BLAST) is a non-governmental organisation whose mission is to make the legal system accessible to the poor and the marginalised and provides legal services in 25 districts in Bangladesh. It undertakes research, advocacy and public interest litigations for law, policy and institutional reforms to ensure effective legal protection of rights. Some of its litigation and advocacy work are on matters of child marriage, violence against women, workers' rights, gender identity and issues of religion, caste, occupation and disability based discrimination.
