Youth advocacy moments and campaigns

At Girls Not Brides, one of the key pillars of youth engagement is the provision of a platform for young leaders working to end child marriage to shape and raise their voices at global, regional and national advocacy moments. We believe that failing to meaningfully engage young people in opportunities that directly relate to them is a disservice to the Partnership as a whole.

Our work ranges from engaging youth-led organisations to participate in the United Nations General Assembly; working with youth leaders, the Adolescent Girls Investment Plan (AGIP) and the Youth Task Force to promote their participation in Beijing+25 processes; and mobilising youth to input into policy recommendations on child marriage.

We offer youth-led member organisations and activists an opportunity to connect through events and workshops, participate in advocacy fora, and help to shape the policy asks of State and National Partnerships, coalitions and beyond.
