Personal relationships often reinforce or challenge power imbalances between men and women. Fathers and brothers hold a great deal of power in the lives of adolescent girls in Bangladesh’s Sunamganj district.

For men and older boys, the tea stall is a common spot to socialise with peers. Tea stalls are a productive space to start discussions with men on gender and equity in  a familiar setting.
