National Strategy on Ending Child Marriage in Burkina Faso 2016-2025

Burkina Faso joins a growing number of countries adopting national strategies to end child marriage.

In order to work towards the prevention and elimination of child marriage, the government of Burkina Faso has developed a National Strategy on Ending Child Marriage (2016-2025).

This strategy was developed with contributions from a variety of stakeholders including UN agencies, religious and traditional leaders, the national coalition to end child marriage (Coalition Nationale de lutte Contre le Mariage Précoce), and citizens from various communities.
