In Malda district of West Bengal, India, most girls are married before 15 or 16.
"When I was in tenth grade, my parents wanted me to get married. I was myself a child. How would I have been able to take care of my child, take care of my family, when I couldn't take care of myself?" explains Kajal.

Unfortunately, Kajal's story is not unique. India is home to the largest number of child brides in the world, and every year, 14 million girls are married off because of poverty, traditions and beliefs about women and girls' value.
This new video looks at the work carried out by CINI, in collaboration with the Ford Foundation, to provide adolescent girls with training on reproductive and sexual health.
