As the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning for Impact Manager at Girls Not Brides, Purity is responsible for operational delivery of the strategic plan, work plan development, monitoring, evaluation and accountability across the organisation. She also provides relevant expertise and support for the team and member organisations, while ensuring that Girls Not Brides can measure and demonstrate their impact for a range of stakeholders.
Purity is an international development professional with over 10 years’ experience in programme design, monitoring, evaluation, research and learning. She is passionate and skilled in evidence-based monitoring and evaluation approaches and practices. Purity has previously worked with humanitarian projects and programmes focusing on economic empowerment and resilience building, child protection, health, education, gender equality, governance and advocacy, peace and security.
Prior to joining Girls Not Brides, Purity worked at Tetra Tech International Development as the Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning Lead for REINVENT and Jamii Thabiti Programmes – both of which were aimed at reducing insecurity and violent extremism in Kenya.
Purity has a Master’s degree in International Relations, a Post Graduate Diploma in Project Management and a Bachelors Degree in Sociology. She is also a certified PMD Pro expert. She speaks fluent English and Kiswahili.
