The civil society national coalition, formed in 2014 and composed of over 30 members, has been an important actor in the launch of the African Union campaign in 2016 in collaboration with different ministries. During the 16 days of activism against gender-based violence in 2017, the coalition launched a video to amplify the voices of girls and boys advocating for an end child marriage in Cameroon supported by the Minister of Women’s Empowerment and the Family. The bilingual coalition is coordinated by Association de Lutte contre les Violences faites aux Femmes (ALVF) and Women in Alternative Action (WAA)
