Supported by a youth movement and UNICEF, the « Plateforme Synergie d’Actions » was created in 2016 in the lead up to the launch of the Zero Tolerance to Child marriage Campaign. The platform is composed of over 40 civil society organisations, children and youth. It is coordinated by a youth ambassador for adolescent and youth sexual and reproductive health and rights and family planning in Francophone West Africa. In 2019, under the leadership of Enfants Solidares d’Afrique et du Monde (ESAM) and supported by UNICEF, a dozen Girls Not Brides members came together to revive the campaign and engage with different actors to accelerate progress to ending child marriage.
