SOFEVD was created in 2015 in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo with the aim of promoting a culture of respect for rights and freedoms, especially those of disadvantaged women and children. SOFEVD's main areas of work are peace consolidation and mediation in local communities, access to justice for vulnerable women and children, and women's socio-economic empowerment.
