Mahibere Hiwot for Social Development (MSD) was established in 1999 by youth in Ethiopia who were concerned about the spread of HIV, and who aspired to contribute to the national effort to combat the epidemic. Today, the organisation focuses on the prevention of child marriage, HIV prevention, care and support, youth sexual and reproductive health, family planning, and environmental protection.
