Founded in 2012 in Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), the Conseil Consultative de Femme Africaine (CCOFA) aims to eliminate all forms of violence against women and girls. The organisation works towards its mission by addressing patriarchal values which perpetuate gender-based violence, and by promoting societal values conducive to equality between the sexes. CCOFA moreover works to contribute towards a non-violent society overall.
