SAKAR is a feminist organisation based in India which envisions a society based on the pillars of knowledge, awareness, justice and gender equity. Created in 2005, SAKAR works for the political, social and economic empowerment of women, with a primary focus on their increased participation in decision making processes and their leadership development at the community level.
