The Mariposa DR Foundation in the Dominican Republic was founded in 2009 by a group of volunteers inspired by the urgent need for community-based solutions to end poverty. The organisation takes a preventative approach to child marriage through an innovative programme to educate and empower girls, allowing them to stay healthy and enjoy their childhood.
