This report by Plan International presents the findings of a study on child marriage in five provinces of the Dominican Republic. It explores the motivations and socio-cultural values of adolescent girls, their families and the men that marry them, as well as the impact that child marriage has on girls, their family, their community, and the economy as a whole.

The report also looks at the legal and policy response to child marriage and makes recommendations to better address the practice.
