This Human Rights Watch report focuses on the plight of women and girls, including victims of underage marriage, charged with the moral crimes of “running away” and zina (sex outside of marriage) in Afghanistan.

It recommends that women and girls victims of forced marriage, domestic and sexual abuse should be better protected, and the perpetrators more systematically investigated and prosecuted.
