From 2013 to 2017, UK Aid supported the implementation of a programme called Voice for Change (V4C), which sought to address social norms and improve gender equality in four states in Nigeria: Enugu, Kaduna, Kano and Lagos.

This report gathers lessons learned from engaging religious and traditional leaders as part of this programme. As gender inequality drives child marriage as its root, the recommendations from this report can be useful to practitioners looking to engage leaders to address child marriage in Nigeria.
