Rachael Hongo is an accomplished professional in the field of international development, with experience in gender equality, and specialised focus in Prevention of Harmful Practices, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), and Research and Evidence. With a robust academic background that includes an advanced degree in Demography, and a background in Anthropology, Rachael has built a career dedicated to improving the lives of the most vulnerable populations in some of the world's most challenging environments.
Currently serving as a Senior Officer, Data, Evidence and Policy at Girls Not Brides, Rachael has years of experience in developing technical papers, briefs, guidelines, and materials for Harmful Practices, and SRHR interventions, and conducting rigorous research to inform strategic decision-making. She also has a proven track record in capacity development, and fostering partnerships with governments, civil society, and other stakeholders to promote gender equality, human rights, and evidence-based decision-making.
