Nana Ndeda

  • Evidence to Advocacy Specialist – Conflict and Crisis Settings

Nana Ndeda is the Evidence to Advocacy Specialist, Conflict and Crisis Settings at Girls Not Brides. In this role, she is responsible for synthesising learning, building relationships, and supporting Girls Not Brides membership to conduct evidence-based advocacy on child marriage in conflict and crisis settings.  Nana is a humanitarian policy and advocacy specialist who holds over 15 years of experience leading multi-stakeholder initiatives and shaping institutional responses in fragile and conflict-affected contexts.

Nana has previously held regional, global and country-focused humanitarian advocacy and policy roles for major international agencies, including CARE International, Save the Children, Plan International, the Norwegian Refugee Council and the International Rescue Committee, where she coordinated coalitions, secured humanitarian funding and influenced preparedness and response frameworks.  She specialises in advocacy strategy development, coalition-building, and engagement with UN agencies, donors, and regional bodies. In her work, Nana consistently integrates evidence-based analysis with participatory approaches, amplifying local and regional perspectives in global reform debates.

Nana holds an Executive Master in Development Policies and Practices – Conflict & Fragility from the Graduate Institute in Geneva, a Master’s in International Relations, and a Bachelor’s in International Relations from the United States International University in Nairobi.
