As Africa Operations Coordinator at Girls Not Brides, Ivy is responsible for multiple facets of operational, financial, and administrative coordination, including supporting National Partnerships and Coalitions. One of her key responsibilities involves supporting Africa team members in the implementation of the organisation's safeguarding policy, acting as a point of contact for safeguarding matters to the global secretariat.
Before joining Girls Not Brides, Ivy accrued experience in optimising systems and driving social impact. Her career journey encompasses diverse roles in finance, operations, and administration. Notably, at Instiglio, she streamlined cross-country operations and reporting processes, demonstrating her proficiency in operational efficiency. Her tenure at E3 Capital further enriched her expertise in operational processes and data management, laying a strong foundation for her subsequent roles. In her most recent position as a Finance & Compliance Specialist at Kubik, Ivy reinforced her dedication to precision and adherence to regulatory standards.
Ivy holds a Master of Commerce with a specialisation in Forensic Accounting and Investigation from Strathmore Business School, a Bachelor of Science in International Business Administration from United States International University-Africa (USIU-Africa), and is a Certified Sustainability Reporting Manager. Fluent in English and Swahili, she is also actively pursuing proficiency in French.
