With a background in development and humanitarian action, Ben Abdoul Azize Sawadogo supports the implementation of Girls Not Brides’ regional strategy in West Africa. He works with civil society networks, national coalitions and youth groups to strengthen advocacy, coordination and learning across the region. Based in Burkina Faso, he helps connect local action with regional priorities and contributes to partnership-building and movement strengthening.
His work has focused on sexual and reproductive health, HIV prevention, gender equality and community resilience, particularly in fragile and hard-to-reach settings. He has collaborated with local organisations and international partners to reinforce inclusive leadership and support sustainable change.
Ben believes that ending child marriage is not only essential to upholding human rights, but also to advancing social stability, economic progress and development across communities. He speaks French and English.
