Sinéad Donovan joined Girls Not Brides as a Trustee and Chair of its Audit and Risk Committee in January 2025.
Sinéad has been a partner in Grant Thornton Ireland since 2005, finishing in January 2025 as the firm united with Grant Thornton US. She became the first female partner in the firm and operated as an audit partner for the first 8 years of partnership, signing off on the firm’s public company clients and the larger international clients.
Combined with her work in Grant Thornton, Sinead culminated 6 years on the Council of Chartered Accountants Ireland, with a year as President (May 2023 – May 2024). Sinead continues to sit on the Council as immediate past president and is Chair of the remuneration committee. Sinead also sits on the Board of Homestore and More and on the board of Accounting Technicians Ireland.
