A check-list for national strategies to end child marriage (+ user guide)

Author: Girls Not Brides  |  14.03.2016

Girls Not Brides materials

This check-list provides a framework for Girls Not Brides members and national partnerships, as well as UN and government stakeholders, to analyse national strategies to end child marriage.

It is intended to support reflection on how they can be or were developed, what they should include and how they can be implemented. It will be relevant to stakeholders in countries where (i) a national strategy is still in development, (ii) is about to be rolled out or (iii) is currently being implemented.

The accompanying user guide provides advice on how the check-list can be used to reflect on the past or current development process of a national strategy, or encourage governments to take more action to address child marriage.
