Karin Forseke is a senior international advisor and non-executive board member with a strong track record in building sustainable, successful organisations in the financial industry as well as public and non-profit sectors. Dedicated to values-based leadership and the role of women in business and society, she was awarded a CBE by Queen Elizabeth II for services to the UK financial services industry.
Karin’s career has focused on the financial sector. She was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Carnegie Investment Bank AB in Sweden after turning around the bank’s operations in London and New York, and was the first female CEO of a publicly listed investment bank in Sweden. She served as Chief Operating Officer of the London International Financial Futures Exchange, LIFFE. She has also served as Chair of Alliance Trust in the UK, Deputy Chair of the British Financial Services Authority (FSA) and was Private Advisor on privatisation to the Minister of Financial Markets and Local Government in Sweden.
Karin holds a number of non-executive board positions, including being Chair of the Investment Committee, Royal Swedish Academy of Science, Drottningholm Palace Theater, and Föreningen Storasyster, which provides support for victims of sexual violence.
